I received a private RFQ invitation. What does this mean?

Congratulations! A buyer has specifically selected you to participate in their private RFQ. This is an exclusive invitation that gives you access to an opportunity not visible to other suppliers.

What Makes Private RFQ Invitations Special

  • Exclusive Access: Only invited suppliers can see and bid on this RFQ
  • No Credit Cost: You do NOT pay any credits to access private RFQs - it's completely free
  • Direct Selection: The buyer chose you specifically based on your profile, capabilities, or prior relationship
  • Less Competition: You're competing with a smaller, curated group of suppliers

How to Respond to a Private RFQ Invitation

  1. You'll receive a notification about the invitation
  2. Click the link or find the RFQ in your "My RFQs" section under "Invited"
  3. Review the RFQ details (you have immediate access)
  4. Accept the invitation to confirm your participation
  5. Submit your bid before the deadline

Important Notes

  • Private RFQ invitations do not expire, but the RFQ itself has a deadline
  • You can decline an invitation if the project isn't a good fit
  • Accepting the invitation is free - no credits are deducted
  • You agree to the standard NDA terms when accepting
