RFQs marked as "Invited - Free" are Private RFQs where a buyer has specifically invited you to participate. Unlike public RFQs where you pay credits to request access, private RFQ invitations are always free.
How It Works
| RFQ Type | How You Access | Credit Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Public RFQ | You find it in the marketplace and request access | Credits charged (varies by RFQ) |
| Private RFQ (Invited) | Buyer invites you directly | Free - 0 credits |
Why Are Private Invitations Free?
When a buyer creates a private RFQ, they are actively seeking specific suppliers. Since you didn't search for the opportunity (the buyer found you), there's no credit cost. The buyer has already invested in finding the right suppliers.
Identifying Free RFQs
Look for the green "Invited - Free" badge on RFQ cards. This indicates:
- You were specifically invited by the buyer
- No credits will be deducted from your account
- You have immediate access to view full RFQ details
