Cantina Martini is a hillside winery and agricultural company focused on high-quality Cesanese del Piglio wine production in a six-hectare estate. The production farmhouse sits on a hill in the heart of the Cesanese del Piglio area, in the Santa Felice Valley, near the Anticolana State Road. Historical notes from an ancient family library indicate Cesanese di Affile was first established in the Pigliese territory in the 1400s. In tribute to Affile, the Cantina Martini wine line includes Santa Felicita, named after the city’s patroness. The estate comprises a single property of about six hectares. Two hectares of vineyard date back to 1960, historically planted with about 90% Cesanese di Affile and 10% Passerina del Frusinate. An additional 1.5 hectares were replanted in 2012 with Cesanese di Affile, using cuttings from historic vines. The remaining two and a half hectares host approximately 300 Multicultivar olive trees.
